Oaklands go above and beyond to support the children that are particularly vulnerable. In one example, the school went over and above to support a child by attending a new placement, with the social worker, and regularly carrying out visits to check-up on the child and also to check-in with the foster carers, who were temporarily caring for the child until a more long-term placement could be found. The school communicated with children services any concerns that had come up and provided support to ensure a smooth transition from their provision into a more appropriate provision that could support the young person.

Just wanted to say how wonderful Oakland’s have been in regard to helping our son. He was diagnosed with ADHD last June and the school have supported us by always ensuring all forms and assessments were filled out,  attending appointments, recognising his triggers to help him cope better at school and making sure his surroundings are always safe for him and others. Without Oakland’s and their staff, I probably wouldn’t have received the help and support our family needed.
