Wellbeing Champions
Wellbeing Champions

At Oaklands Primary, we are incredibly proud to introduce our Oaklands Wellbeing Champions, who work closely with Miss Greenhill to support pupils across the whole school, including the nursery and ARP.
Following a mental health and well-being training day in December 2025, these pupils successfully applied for the role and have already made a hugely positive impact in such a short time. Our champions offer support on the playgrounds, in class and around the school, helping to ensure that everyone feels safe, supported and listened to.
They are easily recognised by all pupils as they proudly wear their purple hi‑vis jackets and badges, symbolising their important role within our community. Miss Greenhill has received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from staff, highlighting the care, maturity and commitment shown by the team.
The champions meet with Miss Greenhill every Tuesday morning for a wellbeing breakfast, where they reflect on how things have been going and also check in with one another to ensure they themselves are feeling supported. These champions truly live up to their name, and we are immensely proud of each and every one of them – they are a real pleasure to have as part of our school community.
